Make Sure Your Car's Lights Are Working

With the fall season upon us, it's time to get used to longer nights and shorter days. Now is a great time to check your car's lights to make sure they are in working order. Have someone help you check each light and if you notice one that isn't working replace it as soon as possible. You need the lights on your car in order to stay safe, here are some important safety tips:

  • Keep your headlights, tail lights, and turn signals clean. Dirt can dim the lights and decrease visibility. If you notice your lights are foggy you can use toothpaste to get rid of the cloudiness.
  • If you're unsure whether or not you need to turn your headlights on, go ahead and turn them on to be on the safe side.
  • Make sure your headlights are positioned correctly. Otherwise they will blind other drivers and your visibility will suffer.
